What is available font-wise is ridiculously limited. … The new iMovie had some fun surprises but was HUGELY LET DOWN that it does not allow font-size to be changed for most of it's titling. … I understand it does NOT integrate into the iMovie template but it can create content or that will complete the areas I find lacking in the new iMovie. … If I buy Motion 5 for $70.00 (CAN) I will be able to use it for titles/opening sequences or add effects to content "exported" from iMovie and then export to a format compatible with iMovie to then insert in an iMovie project? … Thanks for your time if you have a moment to say the way I've explained how I'll use it will work ok.

Between that & photoshop & Quicktime Pro I could do pretty well anything I needed. I used to like iMovie WAY back around version 8 or 9 (Snow Leopard era). to a custom order 27" 5K iMac SSC i7 4.ghz. I did kind of a large jump from El Capitan on a late 2007 17" MBP with SSD. For most of what I want iMovie is fine + QuickTime Pro (A BRILLIANT & SIMPLE TOOL).

FCPX is an extra $400.00 -which isn't much in the scheme of things but it's $400.00 for a lot of stuff I don't need. If I buy Motion 5 for $70.00 (CAN) I will be able to use it for titles/opening sequences or add effects to content "exported" from iMovie and then export to a format compatible with iMovie to then insert in an iMovie project? I work in Logic Pro X -being a concert pianist -audio stimulates me more than video. Motion 5 stresses compatibility with FCPX, I understand, but FCPX is more than I want for the time being.
